FPA Councils and Committees

An Advisory Council on Pharmacy Practice shall be formed and should educate the FPA Board of Directors on emerging issues impacting pharmacy through written communications, formal presentations and discussion of these issues.

 Registered Members

The Budget and Finance Committee is charged with monitoring and evaluating the fiscal health of the Florida Pharmacy Association and advising the Board of Directors on budget and finance related matters.

An Educational Affairs Council shall be formed to consider any matters or issues pertaining to the pharmacy education, or any other matters referred to it for consideration.

It is a voluntary, nonprofit, unincorporated committee of pharmacists and others whose purpose is to promote and strive for the improvement of state governmental policy decision making that affects the practice
and business of pharmacy. It is one of the most affective ways to help the profession achieve its legislative agenda through coordinated support of political campaigns friendly to our cause.

The Florida Pharmacy Today Journal Board is created by Article IV Section 4 of the FPA bylaws. The Journal Board oversees the affairs of Florida Pharmacy Today, Inc.

Article V of the FPA Constitution defines the 17 members of the Board of Directors as the immediate past President of the FPA serving as the Chair, President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Speaker of House, Vice Speaker of the House, the executive vice president of the FPA as secretary, the president of FSHP and elected directors serving staggered terms.

FPA Bylaws state that a Public Affairs Council shall be formed to consider matters or issues inherent in or arising from the interface of the profession with the public, or any other matters referred to it for consideration.
