Midyear Clinical Conference

This clinical conference offers consultant, general and technician continuing education. Also available is Florida approved medication error CE and HIV/AIDS CE for newly licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. There will also be an immunization certificate program offered in partnership with APhA.

Hotel Information:
The FPA room rate is $109 plus tax (single/double occupancy).  The room reservation deadline is September 28, 2012 or until the room block is full.  Thereafter, reservations will be taken on a space or rate availability basis.  First night's deposit is required and refundable up to 5 days prior to arrival.  Check-in time is 4:00pm.  Checkout time is 11:00am.  Complimentary self parking is available along with complimentary guest room internet access for FPA attendees.

Policy on Industry Support: The FPA adheres to the US Food and Drug Administrator's policy on industry supported educational activities.  The FDA policy requires, among other things, that we conduct the educational program supported by any corporate educational grants independently and without control by the grantor of the program's planning, content or execution.  Furthermore, the programs must be free of commercial bias for or against any product.
Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is made in writing 30 days prior to the program a refund will be made less a $10 service charge. If cancellation is made 29-10 days prior to the program, a refund will be made, less a $50 service charge. Cancellation requested in writing after that date will result in credit for another FPA CE program or service valid for one year.
Tax Deduction: The expense of continuing education, when taken to maintain and improve professional skills is tax deductible. Please contact your accountant for complete details.

Conference Handouts: The speaker handouts will be posted on our website,, after October 15, 2012 for you to print and bring with you to the meeting.  Printed books of the handouts are not included in the full or daily registration fees but are available for you to purchase at $25.00.

Registering by Mail?: If you wish to register for the FPA Midyear Clinical Conference by mail simply download and complete the registration form at this link.  Make sure that you note in the memo field on your checks that it is for the Midyear Clinical Conference. You can mail your registration form to the FPA office at 610 North Adams Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32301.

Want to register for the Immunization program?: If you are interested in taking the immunization program that will be available at the Midyear Clinical you will need to do that directly with the American Pharmacists Association through this link.

The registration deadline for the Midyear Clinical Conference is Friday, October 5, 2012

The Florida Pharmacy Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Up to 15 contact hours are available upon successful completion of attendance and evaluation forms. Universal Activity Numbers (UAN) above. Statements of continuing education will be mailed within six weeks. This is an ACPE knowledge based activity. Consultant number pending.
The Florida Pharmacy Association is also a Florida Department of Health Approved provider of continuing education and will be reporting to CE Broker.
