Educational Needs Assessment

Diabetes mellitus, often referred to as diabetes, is a group of metabolic diseases in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced. The incidence of diabetes is increasing rapidly. The health care costs associated with diabetes and its complications are growing at an alarming rate.  The ADA has released new standards of medical care for diabetes which will give clinicians the tools to provide desirable goals and targets for patients.
